Resources to help Camp Fire Survivors relocate or assist those who have already relocated navigate new community resources and opportunities.

Camp Fire ConnectUnited Way of Northern California, American Red Cross, and 2-1-1 – Providing resources and information to Camp Fire Survivors who have relocated outside of Butte County. Camp Fire Connect provides information and connections to mental health, employment, and other resources through 211. Available online at

HUD (US Department of Housing and Urban Development) – Resource Locator- Provides information and location tools for HUD resources including a national map of affordable housing opportunities through HUD, a HUD Office locator, and a housing locator for Elderly and Special Needs specific housing.To access any of these resources visit:

Camp Fire Relocation Facebook- Facebook groups to help survivors from the California Wildfires find areas across the state and across the country that will fit their needs and to help facilitate the transition to their new location. Please see table below for various area relocation groups:

AreaVibes Location Search-Provides a free search engine of any area within the United States. AreaVibe shows users a ‘Livability Score’ for various locations. The Livability Score is designed to help users determine the best places to live based on 7 different criteria, including nearby amenities, cost of living, crime rates, education, employment, housing and weather. A total Livability Score is then calculated out of 100 for any area across America. Users can filter the best places to live with the criteria they select in the search. Link:

U-Pack moving cost calculator- U-Pack offers a free Moving Estimate Calculator for relocating. Estimates are based on two equipment options, moving trailers and ‘ReloCube’ or moving containers. U-Pack estimate offers option to book moving assistance and determines fees based upon the users needs for transportation, loading, and unloading assistance. Link:
